Did Brew Know?
Both TEA and COFFEE'S Flavors depend on: The type
of tea or coffee plant, where it is grown, weather conditions, type of soil,
type of fertilizer, growing methods, when it is harvested, how it is processed
once picked, how fresh the tea or coffee is when you buy it, the quality of
the water you use to brew it, the proportions of coffee or tea and water, how
long you brew it, what you add to it once it is brewed, what you serve with
it. ALL of those things can make a BIG difference in taste.
BREW IT RIGHT! FOR THE BEST FLAVORED CUP OF TEA:
The type of water you use, when brewing tea, can
effect the tea flavor; as much as the brewing, or "steeping" timing you use,
and the temperature of the water. Black teas should be brewed for 5 minutes,
at approximately 200 degrees, Oolong teas 3-4 minutes, at about 180 degrees,
green teas 2-5 minutes, at 170 degrees. One study of green tea, said "The
medicinal quality of green tea is diminished by using extremely HOT,{
bubbling/boiling hot] water. Let the kettle settle down...for a minute, before
pouring." Some teas are enhanced by sweeteners [raw or white sugar, honey, or
artificial] but some do not need them. Sweeteners actually might ruin the
flavor of some teas. The same goes for whether you use cream or lemon.
Experiment, see what works for you! Serving something with the tea, can also
help you feel more enthusiastic about tea drinking. Do not let a bad
experience with poor quality supermarket teas, ruin a potentially Lovely
alternative beverage, for you!! Spring water or highly filtered water
should always be used. Note too, our Tea canisters are very decorative, and
lend themselves to many uses, not just refilling with our exceptionally high
Quality teas.
ALL of Our Teas Are Certified ORGANIC !
